Screen + Buttons: The Right Balance

The infotainment screen is a good size, easy to read, and very responsive. What I really appreciate is the balance between touchscreen controls and physical buttons. You can quickly adjust climate, media, or navigation without fighting the screen while driving.

Storage Everywhere (And It Shows)

Up front, this van understands how much stuff parents carry. Between cupholders, open bins, wireless charging, a center console, and additional storage behind it, there’s a spot for all the everyday essentials. There’s not a lot of covered storage, but the grab-and-go layout works well.

Easy, Intuitive Controls

The rotary dial shifter is simple and easy to use, and everything in the driver’s area feels logically placed. You don’t have to think too hard about where things are, which matters when you’re juggling kids and distractions.

Open, Comfortable Feel

Between good visibility and the panoramic sunroof, the first row feels bright and comfortable. It’s a space designed for long days behind the wheel without feeling cramped or overly tech-heavy.

The second row is doing a lot of heavy lifting for families, so the details really matter here. This is where comfort, tech, and car seat compatibility all collide.

Comfort Features That Actually Matter

From a comfort standpoint, the second row is thoughtfully laid out. You get:

• Ceiling air vents for better airflow to kids in car seats
• Built-in sunshades in both the second and third rows
• Power sliding doors for easier daily loading

One detail I especially like is the placement of the rear climate controls. Instead of being on the back of the center console where they get kicked constantly, they’re mounted up high, making them easier for parents to see and adjust quickly.

Screens That Work With Car Seats

The available Amazon Fire TV screens are a standout feature here, mostly because they fold down.

• Fold-down screens reduce interference with rear-facing car seats
• Less risk of screen damage over time compared to fixed screens

It’s a small design choice that makes a big difference for families using rear-facing seats.

Second Row Car Seat Setup

This is one of the Pacifica’s stronger areas from a car seat perspective.

• Both outboard seats have lower anchors and tether anchors
• Most infant seats, convertibles, and forward-facing seats install well (seat-dependent)

Even without Stow ’n Go, the Pacifica allows the second-row seat to tilt and slide forward with a car seat installed when using lower anchors. That’s a feature I always appreciate because it means you don’t have to uninstall a seat to access the third row.

That said, the manual lever requires more effort than I’d like and isn’t especially kid-friendly.

No Stow ’n Go on the Hybrid (And Why That Matters)

This is where the plug-in hybrid changes the equation.

• Hybrid models do not have Stow ’n Go seating due to battery placement
• Seats do not fold into the floor, removing a signature Pacifica feature

Stow ’n Go is especially helpful for third-row access, hauling gear, and quick interior reconfigurations, so losing it is a tradeoff families should think through carefully.

The Pacifica’s trunk is one of the bright spots. With the third row up, you still get a deep cargo well that easily fits a stroller, groceries, or sports gear without feeling cramped.

When you need more space, the third-row seats fold down quickly with a simple manual pull — no power buttons, no waiting. I actually like that nothing is power back here. It’s faster, more reliable, and easier when you’re juggling kids and bags.

Another small but thoughtful detail: the power tailgate button is mounted lower inside the trunk, not up high on the liftgate. That makes it much easier to reach if you’re shorter or have your hands full, and it’s one of those everyday design choices that really matters.
