2025 Chrysler Pacifica

- The Pacifica comes in all-wheel drive and hybrid — but not together.
- One of the best "fam cams" on the market.
- Ceilings vents and sunshades in the second AND third row.
- Built in vacuum cleaner?!
The Exterior
The exterior of the Chrysler Pacifica... what can I say, its the most minivan looking minivan out there. To me it doesn't stand out compared to the other minvans on the market but exterior aesthetics is not why parents choose the Pacifica. Lets dive into the more impressive interior which is stunning especially in this Pinnacle trim.
First Row
When it comes to the entire interior of the Pacifica, but especially the first row, is very thoughtfully laid out. Both the climate controls and the rotary dial shifter very easy to use and there are wireless charging options right underneath. Most of the time I'm complaining because a vehicle has too big of a screen and not enough buttons... I think the Pacifica has the opposite problem. The Pacifica has a 10.1 inch infotainment screen and tons of buttons and knobs underneath. It is definitely something to get used to and I would take too many knobs over not enough any day.
On the Pinnacle trim, he door panels have plush leather, contrast stitching, chrome accents, and a Harman Kardon sound system. No, it's not a luxury vehicle — but this is a minivan. I’m asking for comfort, durability, and thoughtful design, and Chrysler delivers. The driver's seat is very comfortable which I appreciate since parents spend so much time in their cars.
One of my favorite features in new vehicles is a pass-through underneath the console which makes storage of your purse, diaper bag, etc really convenient. This is a prime example of a lot of really nice features that make it a comfortable driving experience for the entire family.
Front-Row Features Parents Will Notice
Seats & Comfort
- Quilted leather
- Heated & ventilated
- Supportive with a higher padded armrest area (mini but mighty detail!)
Storage & Console Layout
Pacifica’s bridge console gives you:
- Wireless charging
- USB + USB-C ports
- Blu-ray player and HDMI input for rear entertainment
- Multiple cubbies and a pull-out lower storage tray
- Good cup holders (yes, it fits a Stanley)
Where it falls a little flat:
The center console isn’t very deep, and the extra pull-out cup holders feel flimsy. I wish they had committed more fully to storage here — after all, storage is the reason many of us drive minivans.
FamCam: One of the Best in the Game
I am extremely picky about fam cams, especially for rear-facing visibility.
Pacifica nailed it. You get a straight-on view of rear-facing kids — better than the Kia Carnival, better than many SUVs. You can tap different zones to zoom in on kids.
Huge win.
Second Row
Let’s start with the obvious: the Pinnacle trim comes with matching leather pillows. Are they cute? Sure. Are they practical? No. Will your kids immediately throw them on the floor and then spill applesauce on them? 100%.
I digress.
Second Row Highlights
- Excellent legroom
- Ceiling vents (YES)
- Built-in sunshades
- Heated second-row seats (trim specific)
- Power sliding doors with controls everywhere
- Built-in rear entertainment that folds down (added package)
Rear Entertainment Hot Take
I personally would never choose a car based on built-in screens.
They:
- Interfere with some car seat installations
- Aren’t visible from the third row
- Are expensive to replace
- Encourage kids to ask for shows every time they hop in
BUT — if you want rear entertainment, Chrysler’s system is solid:
- Fire TV
- Wi-Fi capability
- HDMI input
- Bluetooth headphones
User-friendly, modern, and well integrated.
Car Seat Set Up
I’ve reviewed the Pacifica many times, and the car seat situation has stayed the same. To put it simply:
Second Row
- AWD models cannot get a bench seat
- Pinnacle trim does not offer full Stow ’n Go seating
- Good captain’s chair comfort, but less flexibility than other trims
- Because of Stow n' Go, load legs are not allowed.
Lower Anchors (LATCH)
There are four sets:
- Two in the captain’s chairs
- Two in the third row, though one is off-center (awkward for boosters)
Tether Anchors
Four total — not enough for a minivan. Many competitors offer more.
Third Row Headrests
They are… bad.
The angle and shape make installing many car seats difficult. You must be very selective. (We’ll link our recommended seats list below.)
Overall Car Seat Friendliness
The Pacifica has:
✔ Sliding doors
✔ Good trunk space
✔ Nice ride quality
But compared to other minivans? It isn’t the most car-seat-friendly pick. If hauling three to five kids daily is your reality, there are easier setups elsewhere.
Third Row
Chrysler redeems itself here.
Third Row Perks
- Reclining seats
- Deep seating position
- Ceiling vents (I cannot overstate how essential these are)
- Built-in sunshades
- Decent comfort even for adults
Built-In Vacuum
Kind of fun.
Kind of unnecessary.
Kind of one more thing to maintain.
Personally? I’d rather use my portable vac or swing through a car wash.

Trunk
Stow ’n Go for the Third Row
The third row still offers true Stow ’n Go. Slow but functional. Gives you a fully flat cargo floor. Unfortunately, Stow 'n Go is not available on the Pinnacle trim.
Chrysler also places the power liftgate button off to the side, not on the door. If you’re on the shorter side, this is a game changer — much easier to reach.
Safety
The Chyrsler Pacifica did not receive the Top Safety Pick from the IIHS but received 5 stars from NHTSA.
Final Thoughts: Who Is the 2025 Pacifica Pinnacle For?
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle AWD is a minivan with:
- A premium-feeling interior
- Strong comfort features
- Fantastic visibility tech
- Good family amenities
- AWD availability
- Competitive pricing once rebates kick in
But it also has:
- So-so car seat flexibility
- Limited Stow ’n Go on upper trims
- Awkward headrests
- Quirky storage choices
If you want AWD and a plush interior, the Pacifica is worth a serious look.
If your life revolves around car seats, boosters, and daily school carpools, there might be better-suited minivan options for your crew.
